Hlavní oblasti zájmu

 

Na začátku mé kariéry jsem se zabýval zejména výzkumem výzkum enzymu keratinázy z aktinomycet a biodegradace keratinového odpadu. Po dokončení PhD jsem se začal věnovat výzkumu biosyntézy přírodních látek (především z aktinomycet, firmicutes) se zaměřením na aktivaci silent gene klastrů, heterologní expresi a stanovení role klíčových enzymů biosyntetických drah. V současnosti se věnuji výzkumu bioaktivních sekundárních metabolitů, quorum sensing inhibujících látek a antivirulentních látek ze sinic, jejich biosyntetických drah a interakcí na molekulární úrovni.

 

Metody

 

PCR, klonování genů, biosyntéza přírodních látek, heterologní exprese, manipulace genů (knock in, knock out), CRISPR-Cas9 genová editace, kombinatorická biosyntéza, exprese rekombinantních proteinů, tvorba Cosmid library, TAR klonování.
